Mrs Jane Doe comes into the unit with a history of vomiting blood for 4 days with increasing intensity and the following signs and symptoms. Dizziness, tachycardia of 134 beats per minutes, BP systolic 80 and diastolic of 50, rapid breathing 28 respiratons per minute. On inspection, she is pale, sweating profusely and her skin is cold and clammy. She is clutching to her belly and is grunting. She has not eaten in the past three days. Has been on treatment for Peptic Ulcer Disease, on and off in the last three years.
